Tristan Muriel, LICSW
Tristan is a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist who works with teens, adults, and couples as they address anxiety, depression, life changes, and BIPOC-related issues. It can be tough for one to prioritize themselves in this busy world. Making the decision to attend therapy can be overwhelming and sprinkled with skepticism. How can “talking” help with anything?
Tristan approaches her practice from a strength-based perspective, with humility, patience, and curiosity. The client is the expert. You have come this far on your own, so we should build on that! Let’s discuss present stressors, identify triggers, and disrupt patterns, so you can finally move past and forward. Therapy is sacred and personal and Tristan strives to create a therapeutic space that is safe, empowering and built on trust. Tristan is looking forward to joining you on this next stage of your journey.
Previously, as a school clinician, Tristan worked with students who not only struggled with meeting basic needs, but the less obvious and sometimes invisible, socio-emotional, environmental, and mental health challenges. These children demonstrated amazing resilience in the face of adversity, while Tristan worked to support them through advocacy, encouragement, and resources. Her goal with those children and all clients is to provide the tools so they can navigate tough life circumstances.
