Nicole Frederick, LMHC, MT-BC

Nicole provides individual therapy with teens and young adults who are ready to address trauma, anxiety, and significant life change. Starting therapy can be daunting. Healing and growing is one thing, but sharing your story, secrets, and dreams with a stranger can be downright terrifying. Knowing this, Nicole leads with warmth, humor, and a nonjudgmental approach.

The goal will be to explore the past to better understand the present. With that new understanding, you'll learn and practice new tools and strategies in order to navigate life with purpose, intention, and fulfillment. Approaching the whole person (mind, body, relationships, etc) is crucial because it informs so much of how we perceive and interact with the world. Nicole is also a trained and licensed music therapist, which presents as a different avenue for expression and experience that words otherwise can't.

Nicole has extensive experience working with teens and young adults, who struggle to adjust to college or post-college life, social anxieties, or just letting go of old patterns that seem to hold them back. She will work with you to understand day-to-day challenges, recognize triggers, and build resilience. Nicole also specializes in working with neurodiverse individuals to develop tolerance for emotional distress, social engagement, and executive functioning.
